- African traditional religions refers to the diverse indigenous spiritual beliefs and practices native to Africa passed out orally through generations. These religions are generally monotheistic, focusing on a distant supreme creator alongside the veneration of ancestors and spirits, placing high value on community, nature, and the harmony between the living world and the spiritual world.
