Connecticut Comptroller Sean Scanlon is projecting a deficit of 109-million dollars this year. Despite the projections, the state is retaining a rainy-day fund of two-point-one billion dollars and Scanlon says the 109-million-dollars only represents a small fraction of the state's overall 27-point-two-billion-dollar General Fund budget.
