Stamford’s Board of Education postponed a vote on the 2026-27 school budget. The board will now hold a special meeting on May 19th to discuss and possibly vote on a final budget. A big concern is the number of job cuts in the superintendent's proposed budget: 60 full-time teaching positions and 12 paraeducators. We spoke with John Corcoran, president of the Stamford Education Association about what’s happening.
