Episode 186: The Northfield Pigman & Sinkhole Sam

In the shadows of mystical forests, beneath the surface of murky lakes, and even in our own backyards, there continue to be reports of unidentifiable creatures from all around the world. Stories of cryptids have been passed down for centuries. They often have similar physical descriptions, despite being from other sides of the globe. Are these simply myths passed down through generations, or are they fragments of truth waiting to be uncovered? 

While there are hundreds of cryptids out there, today we are talking about just two. First, I will take you deep into the forests of central Vermont, chasing one of New England's most enduring — and genuinely unsettling — pieces of folklore. 

Then we are heading to the flat and wide open spaces of the central Kansas prairie. Specifically, a body of water outside Inman, Kansas, known officially, as the Big Sinkhole.
