Recent research continues to show that girls participate in sports at lower rates than boys and are more likely to drop out as they get older. That’s why Sterling Community Center in Stratford created an opportunity to begin closing that gap. It’s called Girls in the Game. We spoke with Amelia Overby, Program Coordinator and a Soccer Coach for the center’s Girl’s Travel Program.
