As “Where Were You in ‘82” continues, Dave and Ryan get derezzed and find themselves on the Grid as they screen the groundbreaking visual effects extravaganza of 1982: “Tron”.

Imagine…travelling back to a time before the Internet…before Mountain Dew Livewire…and before the neo-post apocalypse…

This Summer, Apocalypse Video asks the question: Where Were You In ‘82?

The date is July 9th, 1982. The Human League's "Don't You Want Me?" sits atop the Billboard Charts for its second week in a row; and a groundbreaking film from Walt Disney Pictures is about to bring cinema into the computer age, as video game wiz kid Kevin Flynn gets sucked into the world…of The Grid.

The film...is Tron. And it's about to be derezzed…now!

I’m your host, Dave, and joining me as we hop on our light cycles is fellow cinephile and lowly computer program, Ryan.

Topics of discussion in this episode include a film that’s heavy on vibes, but light on emotion; Ryan tells us about Tron: Ares so we don’t have to watch it; and finally, we discuss the legacy (no pun intended) of Tron, a property that’s been resurrected multiple times, despite being a film that the masses don’t really know or care about.

And as Kevin Flynn lands in his personal helicopter to go about running his new computer business, we too must hop on a chopper and make our way to Texas - all the way to a little town in Lanville County, which just so happens to have a A Lil' Ole Bitty Pissant Country Place that we just gotta see! But don’t worry, ‘cause there’s no funny business going on in this place…(wink wink).
