A controversial Christopher Columbus statue removed from Bridgeport's Seaside Park in 2020 is expected to return later this year after undergoing restoration funded by the local Italian American community. We spoke with Chris Caruso, president of the Council of Italian American Societies of Greater Bridgeport, about the statue comeback.
