As “Where Were You in ‘82” continues, we strap on our backpacks and head back to school as we enter the twilight months of summer with the Amy Heckerling classic, Fast Times at Ridgemont High.

Imagine…travelling back to a time before the Internet…before Mountain Dew Livewire…and before the neo-post apocalypse…

This Summer, Apocalypse Video asks the question: Where Were You In ‘82?

The date is August 13th, 1982. Steve Miller's “Abracadabra” is climbing the charts as it looks to steal the #1 spot from reigning champion: Eye of the Tiger; and a dramedy about high school life in the 80s is about to create one of the most famous stoner archetypes ever put to screen.

The film...is Fast Times at Ridgemont High. And it's about to make some killer waves…now!

I’m your host, Dave, and joining me as we try our best to offload some Van Halen tickets are fellow cinephiles and Ridgemont High alumni, Mike and Jackie.

Topics of discussion in this episode include a film that’s remembered as a Porky’s style comedy, when in reality it’s more of a Dazed and Confused style dramedy; we break down the horrors of working in the fast food industry; and finally, we compare the kids of Ridgemont to the current day generation and ask, “do kids today even still care about sex?”.

And as the chyrons appear on screen to tell us of our futures, we must leave the halls of Ridgemont High behind as we begin our training in the Aviation Officer Candidate School. Ironically, much like our time at Ridgemont - SPOILER ALERT!!! -  we must also worry about surprise pregnancies. See you then!
