Did Lindsay Clancy’s Prosecution Cross the Line?

Three weeks of prosecution testimony in the Lindsay Clancy murder trial ended with more questions about the DA’s courtroom conduct than about the defendant’s guilt. A prosecutor asked Lindsay’s former mother-in-law about mortal sin. The judge struck it. A prosecutor asked Lindsay’s mother why she didn’t have her daughter committed. A State Police investigator acknowledged the prosecution floated a theory that the defense psychologist coached Lindsay to claim she heard voices.
The prosecution told this jury Lindsay faked a suicide attempt. She’s paralyzed from the waist down. Their own psychiatrist saw her fourteen times by telehealth and never met her in person.
