Episode 122: Introducing “Kick” featuring filmmaker, Darrelle Williams!

What’s up world! We know it’s been a long time, but we’re back with some exciting new content recorded through the 2026 Men’s World Cup. First up is our interview with Darrelle Williams. Darrelle is a filmmaker from North Philadelphia who has made a wonderful pilot for his series “Kick.” Kick is about a sixteen-year-old soccer prodigy named Naomi from North Philly, who is thrust into the spotlight after she impresses at a match. 

Tap in as we talk about what, or who, inspired Darrelle to make Kick, why he felt it was so important to make a show about a young Black girl playing soccer, and what role his city plays in telling this story.
