Building a Life Alcohol Doesn’t Fit Into - Paul O’Donoghue
This week, Kelly and Ian are joined by Paul O’Donoghue, who shares his journey from alcohol, drugs and years of trying to escape how he felt, to almost five years of sobriety and a life he no longer wants to escape from.
Paul talks openly about addiction, mental health, the LGBTQ+ community, finding connection through peer support, and how running became a huge part of his life in recovery.
But this conversation is about much more than running. It’s about learning to notice the everyday magic again, appreciating the small wins, and building a life where alcohol simply no longer fits.
