Claire and Producer Caroline are back from Edinburgh and straight into some exposure therapy. It was Claire's turn to attend a fire night at Phoenix Breathwork, in Marble Arch in London while Caroline went back to Glasnevin Toastmasters in Dublin and gave one speech full marks!
David Forde is a former professional footballer and Republic of Ireland international who built an impressive career between the posts. Originally from Galway, David was selected for Ireland’s UEFA Euro 2012 squad and later went on to establish himself as the country’s first-choice goalkeeper.
Since his retirement from football, his journey has taken him well beyond the game. Through personal development, reflection and spirituality. David is an author and a professional coach and mentor in the corporate world. He teaches meditation and breathwork and continues to explore the experiences that shaped him both as an athlete and as a person.
If you missed part one of this episode with David Forde, make sure you go back and listen to his origin story and how he nearly came to blows with Roy Keane!
In part two, Claire chats to David about his personal life, his 20-year marriage to Alison, relationships, giving up alcohol, meditiation and breathwork. David also gives Claire some coaching on a tricky situation she's been dealing with this week.
