Melissa in the Morning: Health Insurance Increases

Connecticut regulators are cutting back proposed health insurance increases for 2027, but premiums will still rise by double digits. Individual plans will increase an average eleven-point-three percent, while small-group plans will rise fifteen-point-one percent. The state says its review cut more than one-hundred million dollars from insurers’ requested increases, affecting about 220-thousand residents. We spoke with state Senator Jeff Gordon who is also a doctor about the increases.
