JP Miller Was Already WHERE When Mica First Married?!

JP Miller and Mica Miller’s relationship did not begin with a marriage license. Years earlier, JP was the pastor at Solid Rock Church and the man standing at the altar when Mica married her first husband, Jeremy Deas. 

Mica began attending Solid Rock as a teenager and became deeply involved in the church. JP was about fifteen years older and occupied several positions of authority in her life. He was her pastor and spiritual mentor. He officiated her first wedding. Public records and reporting later place Mica working for JP’s family before the two eventually married in November 2017. 

That progression is the first half of the story. The second is the federal case. Prosecutors charged JP in December 2025 with cyberstalking and making false statements. The indictment alleges a course of conduct beginning in November 2022 that included unwanted communications, tracking devices placed on Mica’s vehicle, interference with her finances and daily activities, tire damage and an intimate image posted without her consent. JP has pleaded not guilty. He has not been charged in connection with Mica’s April 27, 2024 death, and the federal case is set for the October 2026 trial term.

Psychotherapist Shavaun Scott focuses on the people around a powerful figure and why loyalty to a leader can become stronger than the impulse to question what is happening. 

That distinction matters. The indictment alleges JP caused tracking devices to be placed, but it does not charge church members with cyberstalking. Separate public accounts from former congregants describe concerns about JP being raised inside Solid Rock and dismissed. Together, those records create a harder question about what the institution saw, what it accepted and when anyone decided to push back.
