Mica Miller’s First Wedding Put WHO at the Altar?!

Mica Miller’s first wedding already had JP Miller at the altar. He was not the groom. He was the pastor officiating her marriage to Jeremy Deas, years before Mica and JP would marry each other. 

Mica entered Solid Rock Church as a teenager and became part of its worship life. JP was older, established and in a position of spiritual authority. Over time, the connection expanded beyond church: Mica worked for JP’s family, and the two later became a couple. They married in November 2017. 

The history matters because federal prosecutors now describe an alleged pattern that ran from November 2022 until Mica’s death on April 27, 2024. JP was indicted in December 2025 on cyberstalking and false-statement charges. Prosecutors allege unwanted communications, interference with Mica’s finances and daily activities, tire damage, an intimate image posted without consent and tracking devices placed on her vehicle. JP has pleaded not guilty, denies wrongdoing and has not been charged in connection with Mica’s death. The federal case is set for the October 2026 term.

Former congregants have said publicly that concerns about JP were raised within Solid Rock. Netflix’s filmmakers describe a church community that became divided as Mica sought help. The federal indictment does not accuse individual church members of joining the charged cyberstalking scheme, so the legal question remains focused on JP. The broader question is how much an institution can see before silence becomes part of the story.
