Lindsay Clancy Defense Found WHAT in Juror Records?!

A restraining order, a dismissed domestic assault case, eviction proceedings, and allegations of cellphone use now sit inside the post-mistrial fight in Lindsay Clancy's case. Her lawyers want Judge William Sullivan to examine whether holdout juror Michael Desronvil answered the court's confidential questionnaire truthfully and whether anything happened during deliberations that should have triggered a judicial inquiry before the mistrial was declared. 

The defense filing matters because the Massachusetts juror form specifically asks about arrests, criminal charges, lawsuits, court orders, and other contact with the legal system. Desronvil's restraining order was active when he was selected. His attorney rejects the defense effort and argues that investigating a dissenting juror after the fact threatens jury independence. Desronvil has also said he did not harbor the reasonable doubt other jurors attributed to him. 

At the same time, Patrick Clancy's first major interview after the trial is forcing a different conversation. Patrick told 60 Minutes that mental illness can be 'tragically deceptive.' He described Lindsay's worsening insomnia, depression, intrusive thoughts, emergency care, and her admission to McLean Psychiatric Hospital at the end of December 2022. He said that when he later asked whether she remembered killing Cora, Dawson, and Callan, Lindsay told him it felt like a dream. 

Robin Dreeke joins Tony Brueski to separate behavior from proof. Patrick's observations cannot diagnose what Lindsay understood on January 24, and a juror's difficult personal history does not by itself establish dishonesty or misconduct. The live question is narrower and more consequential: did the court receive accurate information before this juror was seated, and did Judge Sullivan have enough reason to investigate before declaring the jury hopelessly deadlocked? That fight returns to Plymouth Superior Court on September 29.
