Caleb Flynn Trial Day 5: Joseph Wilhelm Found WHAT Deleted From His Phone?!

Special Agent Joseph Wilhelm took the Caleb Flynn jury inside the digital evidence recovered from Flynn's iPhone, and the timeline prosecutors are building now has another layer. Wilhelm testified that Instagram, GroupMe, ChatGPT and other apps showed as deleted from the phone on February 15, 2026 - the day before Ashley Flynn was killed.

Wilhelm, a cyber-crime investigator specializing in digital forensics, said the first attempt to extract Caleb's phone data failed because of settings on the device. He used another forensic tool and completed a full extraction. He testified that the recovered artifacts included evidence of incognito browsing.

The extraction also reached beyond the phone. Wilhelm testified about Apple Watch data, including a final recorded heart rate at 2:10:11 a.m., step information and AirPods connectivity. The watch was identified in the data as @CalebApplesWatch. Investigators also recovered audio of a song Caleb wrote for Alleigha Botner, which was played for the jury.

Caleb Flynn has pleaded not guilty in the murder of his wife, Ashley Flynn. Prosecutors allege he killed Ashley and staged their Tipp City home to resemble a burglary. The defense says an intruder killed Ashley and investigators rushed to blame Caleb. The digital evidence gives jurors another timeline to compare against both versions of what happened.
