Caleb Flynn Court Coverage Day 8: Mike Morgan Put THIS Question to Him

Caleb Flynn told investigators, “I did not touch my wife.” Jurors have now seen the police interview leading up to that denial as Det. Sgt. Mike Morgan continued his testimony in the murder trial over the death of Ashley Flynn.

Morgan showed additional interview video in which Flynn drew a map describing what he said happened inside the home on the night Ashley was killed. Investigators questioned Flynn about what he heard that woke him and pressed him for details about his version of events.

Then came the question investigators eventually put directly to him:

“Did you do this?”

Flynn asked for the question to be repeated. The officer repeated it. Flynn answered, “No.”

The interview also showed detectives telling Flynn that he would be investigated and that evidence in the case would ultimately be taken before a grand jury. Flynn maintained his denial and told them, “I did not touch my wife.”

Flynn has pleaded not guilty to all charges. Prosecutors allege he murdered Ashley Flynn and carefully staged their Tipp City home to make her death appear to be the result of a home-invasion burglary. His attorneys say the burglary was real and investigators prematurely decided Caleb was responsible.

Morgan’s testimony now gives jurors something especially important to evaluate: what Flynn told police before this case ever reached a courtroom.
