Melissa in the Morning: R/V Brewer

Stamford-based non-profit, Soundwaters, teaches the science of Long Island Sound to 30,000 students every year through hands-on experiences on the water and on the shoreline. Now, that instruction is expanding beyond the two coastal facilities in Stamford with the R/V Brewer. We spoke with Leigh Shemitz, President of Soundwaters, about the new vessel under construction and set to make its way to more school districts starting in 2027.
