Kohberger's team was set to argue that Judge Hippler should be removed from the post-conviction case. Hippler vacated the hearing the night before  —  and took every other date with it. The June status conference and June evidentiary hearing on the plea withdrawal are gone. The prosecution has asked Hippler to throw out the petition without any hearing, calling Kohberger's claims bare and conclusory. The defense cites Hippler's sentencing comments  —  that Kohberger was the worst of the worst and that nothing about him was redeeming  —  and wants the case moved back to Latah County. Family attorney Jason Goldman says this is the beginning of a longer fight. Eric Faddis, defense attorney and former prosecutor, joins Tony to break down what the judge's move means, what the prosecution is trying to kill, and whether the families of Kaylee, Maddie, Xana, and Ethan will ever see a final resolution.
