Hilary and Paul Kennelly met because of their penchant for collecting and eight years ago merged their toy collections into the West Wales Museum of Childhood. Early Mickey Mice, 1970s Sindys, dancing Charlie Chaplins and Hilary's first doll, a little Breton girl in a lace bonnet, share an eighteenth century Long House and outbuildings with a 1930s-style garage, a collection of Welsh toys (Corgi cars, anyone?) and love spoons and a model schoolroom, complete with Dunce's hat and backboard for deportment. Quite right too.
