The NHS is considering stopping families from overriding the wishes of people who wanted to be organ donors.
Officials are also looking at a scheme to give priority to people on the donor register if they need a transplant.
It comes as we're marking National Transplant Week.
The West Midlands is home to several centres of excellence for organ transplants like Birmingham Children's Hospital.
Our reporter EMMA THOMAS had been to meet eight-year-old Amman, who suffers from auto-immune hepatitis.
