Funeral of Vince Horvarth

An extremely moving ceremony this afternoon in the small church at Tiglio Alto as many people from many different walks of life paid their final respects to Vincent Horvath who died recently.

The church was full to overflowing as people gathered to remember in words, music and poetry the man who changed houses 49 times before finally settling on his home here in this area of Tuscany.

Vince would probably have smiled at the crystal clear December air and bright sunshine which showed off the valley and the mountains around it to the full.

He would probably have laughed as the cars piled into the tiny car park blocking the traffic and causing wonderful chaos and without a doubt he would have been proud of the way his friends and family spoke of him and his life.

Vince Horvarth, one of those people that you only meet once in your life.

He will be sadly missed.
