his year they celebrated 14 years of music making and at The Barga Jazz cLub this evening they showed just why they have been so successful and long lasting and still manage to remain a fresh sounding band — The Organic Groove were shaking their stuff.

Peewee Durante on keyboards, Luca Giovacchini on guitar and of course, the powerhouse rhythm section that is Matteo Sodini on drums.

The secret is probably no secret really — they obviously enjoy each others company and revel in the music that they make.

The enthusiasm and sheer joy at playing their music is infectious and brought smiles to the faces of most of the audience in The Jazz Club.

Gli Organic Groove iniziano la loro carriera nel 1999, partendo con il classico trio Hammond sound. Nel corso degli anni hanno alternato diversi saxofonisti tra cui Dimitri Espinos, Cris pacini, Claudio Giovagnoli e tanti altri musicisti di alto livello.

Nel corso di questi 14 anni di vita della band la trasformazione musicale non si è mai fermata, anche se la radici più forti si trovano nel Blues, Jazz & Funk anche se non si sono mai imposti divieti musicali.

Ci sono stati gruppi e artisti singoli che hanno fortemente influenzato i musicisti, tra cui Beatles, James Brown, Freddie King e tutti i vecchi Hammondisti, nel corso degli anni anche la musica elettronica ha dato i suoi frutti nel suono della band. Abbiamo collaborato con vari artisti passando dal pop italiano alla performance teatrale.

Attualmente stanno lavorando al loro primo vero album, che presenteranno in buona parte durante la serata al Barga Jazz Club
