EDU 313: Introduction to the Course

“Hi everybody. My name is Shannon Eastep and you have recently received an e-mail from me introducing you to this course. I will be your instructor this semester for EDU 313. Now in addition to welcoming you to the course and telling you a little bit about it, I wanted to deliver a podcast to you to show you one of the many tools that we’ll be using throughout the semester. Not only will I be recording weekly podcasts for you to better understand what we are covering that week, but you guys will also be learning this tool called AudioBoom. This tool is a free one and will allow you to record your voice and make it available for others to hear. We will be covering a variety of other topics in this course including blogs, social media, Smartboard, IPads and a variety of other things. We’ll learn more about this when we get into the syllabus. But for now I just wanted to deliver a message to you in a different way, called a podcast, and introduce you a little bit to myself and the course. So, as I mentioned in my e-mail, the course will be opened on Sunday and you’ll be able to dive right in to the week 1 materials.
