I’m Maria Walsh, the Rose of Tralee, and I’m reading this week’s road safety numbers. 1. The number of people killed on our roads this week. They will be missed forever. I know because my cousin and her three friends were killed one night coming home from Christmas shopping. Four loved daughters.
Four women who would have made impactful and positive changes to the world. All of them so loved, then suddenly gone. Let’s work together, slow down, drive safe and drive smart.
Take care this time of year because a tragedy like this changes you forever. Christmas will never be the same again for my family, and the many friends these women had in their lives. These numbers are real people, don’t be one of them.
