Hundreds of babies born each year in Staffordshire and Cheshire come into the world so prematurely they need months of special intensive care...

The neo-natal unit at Royal Stoke is currently home to 21 newborns - all of whom need tiny little clothes and blankets to keep warm.

And that's where some quick knitting Nannas from Stafford stepped in - and lots of you donated wool to keep them going.

Well, BBC Radio Stoke's EMMA THOMAS has taken their leader on a ward visit to deliver her handiwork in person...
