Martese Unprosecuted - for WTOP

Martese Johnson, the University of Virginia student whose bloody arrest launched protests as well as a pair of state inquests into the actions of Alcoholic Beverage Control agents, says now that charges against him have been dropped that he's glad that it happened.
"That injustice is going to fuel something that is so much beautiful and so much more powerful."
Despite receiving 10 stitches to close a head suffered in his St. Patrick's night arrest, Johnson made no complaint of the decision not to prosecute the ABC agents.
"There is a bigger lesson to be learned that does not require the punishing of these officers."
Johnson says he'll be back when the prosecutor will present the case evidence for public discussion next Wednesday. That's Johnson's 21st birthday.
