Creating and sustaining a clean environment is the surest way of promoting public health, since many diseases are due to dirty environment and as they say “prevention is better than cure". This explains why the environment occupies a significant place in efforts to achieve the Millennium Development Goals, which expires in 2015. In Nigeria, governments at all levels have come up with various policies aimed at preserving the environment and support life. But how are the masses supporting government efforts in that area.
