Introduction to The Muqaddima of Ibn Rushd

Oct 23, 2015, 11:24 AM

The prelude (introduction) of ibn Rushd, who himself was an absolute Don and authority within the School of ‪#‎Madinah‬ and a supreme judge in Cordoba, alAndalus during the 5-6th century (h). His famous work on the Mudawwana; 'the Muqaddimaat' has then been given a summarised poetic makeover by The amazing Faqih of Fes from the 9th (h) century, Abu Zayd ‪#‎alRuqa‬'i. The poem, which is reasonably brief covers the basic 5 pillars of Islam and unlike many other fiqhi poems, the poetry has an incredible flow to it words, which run ever so smoothly off the tongue. And is also great for any students of Arabic wishing to memorise it to improve their language. I will be releasing only a few lines of the poetry regularly (daily if possible) along with an audio commentary spanning anything between 5-10 minutes...to help any who have kindled within them a flame no matter how bright or dim yet burning for the Legacy of our Deen. I hope that this may serve to these fellow-seekers as their daily '#QuickFiqx' to help them along their journey, ameen. We ask Allah that he inspire us all to ‪#‎Learn‬ this ‪#‎Deen‬ with it's true understanding and that He teaches us from His Divine ‪#‎Knowledge‬. Ameen
