W-H-O Technical officer explains SDG 3 on Substance abuse and harmful use of Alcohol in South Sudan

The scourge of drug and alcohol abuse in #SouthSudan can only be tackled through "Political commitment and effective policies" James Chitsva, who works with the World Health Organization (WHO) in South Sudan has said. James Chitsva said that, while there are no reliable statistical information about substance abuse related deaths in South Sudan, 3.3 million premature deaths globally each year can be attributed to alcohol abuse.

Miraya Breakfast Show host, Sebit William asked Mr Chitsva to sum up the threat to health posed by abusing drugs and alcohol.
