Shauna liked Ben. It was a secret. One day she told Kelly, who promised not to tell anybody else. At lunch, everyone started talking about what girls liked what boys. Shauna was the only one who didn’t say anything. Kelly felt powerful―she knew something nobody else knew. She blurted out Shauna’s secret. Everyone teased Shauna. Suddenly Kelly didn’t feel powerful; she felt terrible. She knew that Shauna would never trust her again.

Today If someone trusts me with a secret, I’ll keep it.
