“Call it a clan, call it a network, call it a tribe, call it family. Whatever you call it, whoever you are, you need one.” Jane Howard

Here’s an Aesop’s fable you might have heard: An old man was dying, so he gathered his sons around him to give them some parting advice. He ordered his servants to bring in a bundle of sticks, then said to his eldest son “Break it.” The son tried but couldn’t break the bundle. The other sons tried and also failed. Then the father said “Untie the bundle and each of you take a stick. Then break the stick.” The sticks broke easily. The moral of the fable: There’s strength in unity.

Today I’ll be glad I have a family.
