Aug 04, 2013, 06:00 PM

ReWatchable is here for another episode! We're starting our recaps of Veronica Mars in this episode, where we cover 1x01 "Pilot" and 1x02 "Credit Where Credit is Due."

Shownotes:

-We discuss the intricacies of the pilot, and how Veronica's hair and outfits define new scenes and different periods of time.

-The intro song "We Used to Be Friends" has a great ironic tone for Veronica Mars.

-We rediscuss our Pretty Little Liars comparisons.

-The pilot worked great as a story independent of the show itself.

-Is Veronica a likable lead? Can we forgive her for her lying, stealing, and cheating?

-Duncan came off as a token brooding teen in the pilot, but thankfully, there's more to him than meets the eye.

-Is Veronica's dad a good parent? Where should he draw lines for her allowances?

-Almost all of us love Logan. What were his motives behind smashing Veronica's headlights?

-Wallace's hair is full of love and hugs.

-Weevil is a likable bad guy, who's very witty for a biker gang member.

-The gang violence in the show can be disturbing, showing that Veronica Mars will go there.

-Who's Veronica's rapist? Heavy accusations are made against Troy.

-While going through 1x01 favorite lines, Mitch realizes that Mars fits into the word marshmallow.

-The class differences that are bridged in 1x02 are very relieving and mostly unheard of in television.

-The importance of family is something tackled in 1x02, with Weevil's humanity put on the line during the gang beatup scene.

-Paris Hilton was in 1x02, and played a rich girl — imagine that! She was good for what they needed her for, but it's unlikely that we'll see characters like her again.

-Duncan's mother overacts to everything involving Duncan, but the superfans swear that it's for good reason.

-Pretty Little Liars was the egg to Veronica Mars' chicken.

-We discuss some pretty amazing pilot facts.
