Episode 45: Carmel and Oscar’s story

Local mum, Carmel Giansante, joined Mick Coyle to tell her story about the tragic death of her son, Oscar Phillips, who took his own life at the age of 16.

An inquest heard that Oscar took his own life at Capenhurst station and Carmel wants to ensure that more measures are taken to help vulnerable people at train stations with less staff or are un-manned.

Plus, hear from David Ashton from Liverpool Samaritans, about their #SmallTalkSavesLives campaign which is also there to help people who may think about taking their own life at a train station.
