Opening weekend featured the 11th ranked Pirates producing a sweep of the Radford Highlanders at Clark-LeClair Stadium.
After posting 6-2 and 15-9 wins on Friday, ECU rallied from a 3-0 deficit to win 4-3 on Sunday and complete the sweep.
