25th July 2020 - Reviews and Tech Help on BBC Berkshire

Jul 26, 2020, 05:53 PM

Fevzi Turkalp, the Gadget Detective, joins Andrew Peach to discuss the latest tech news and answer listeners' questions. This week; managing free memory on a smartphone, what is Disney+ and is it worth it? What can smart scales offer over standard ones? What concerns are there for 11-13 year olds getting into making YouTube videos?

Gadget of the Week is the DJI Osmo Pocket. Around the size of a highlighter pen this 4K 60fps camera has 3 axis stabilisation for extremely smooth recording. With face and object tracking, plus motion lapse, similar to time lapse but with tracking, and other options, this is a remarkably capable little camera. Listen in for more details on this and another, cheaper, DJI camera, the OSMO Mobile 3. The Osmo Pocket scored 4.5 out of 5, the Mobile 3 scored a respectable 4 out of 5.
