Stop the lies

Since the 1999 referendum, the republicans have been rewriting history.. They have been spreading three myths.
Imagined, concocted stories. But repeated so often many people believe them. The republican myth that John Howard fixed the question is untrue. Worse it’s a lie. So is the myth that John Howard rigged the convention. So is the myth that he chose the model. The republicans should stop spreading these myths, these lies. They should admit that the treatment they received from John Howard could not have been fairer. The fact is that despite the massive support of the politicians, the media, the elites and their money, the referendum was defeated. It was defeated nationally. It was defeated in all states. It was defeated in 72% of all electorates.
