Former Teacher Rapes Student & Puts HIT On His Life! | True Crime Today Podcast

This week, a 39-year-old former teacher's assistant was sentenced to 50 years in prison for raping a young boy and knowingly exposing him to AIDS.

Upon being convicted of statutory sodomy, a judge sentenced Deonte Taylor to 45 years in prison, followed by five years for recklessly risking the infection of another with HIV. Taylor also pleaded guilty to two conspiracy charges, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

April 21 was the date of Taylor's conviction. Taylor committed statutory sodomy on a 7-year-old boy at Lusher Elementary School, according to the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney's Office. The following day, Taylor and Johnson allegedly worked together to find someone to murder Taylor's child victim, the boy's mother, and the boy's grandmother.

According to reports, Taylor and Johnson offered to pay White $20,000 to commit the crime. St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that Johnson is Taylor's boyfriend, and Taylor met White in jail.

According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the boy testified Taylor removed him from music class and took him to a nearby bathroom on Nov. 13, 2015. A pornographic video on Taylor's phone was then shown to the boy in a classroom. Taylor raped the boy after forcing him to perform oral sex on him.

HIV testing has been negative for the boy, according to reports.

The Ferguson-Florissant School District hired Taylor to teach fifth grade after he was fired from Lusher Elementary School in 2015 for unrelated reasons.

After Taylor and Johnson offered White $20,000 to murder the victim and his family, White went to the police. White was reportedly in jail for violating his probation at the time. White reportedly said to Taylor in the jail rec yard, "I need you to do something for me. Can you take a hit?"."

In an interview with the station, White said, "He told me it was a 10-year-old boy and his mother and grandmother, and I sort of got curious, asking, 'Are you serious? You want to hurt a baby?'"

According to reports, Taylor provided White with the victim's address, phone number, and Social Security number. White was allegedly ordered to make it look like an accident, such as carbon monoxide poisoning or a fire while the family was sleeping, and to "blame the kid for playing with matches."

Taylor's boyfriend, Johnson, was reportedly a choir director at a Baptist church at the time. In addition to handing White the money, Johnson allegedly gave him diet advice.

"If I didn't do it, he would have got someone else to do it," White told KTRK.
