College Professor Allegedly Shots 18 Year Old Student | True Crime Podcast

An 18-year-old student was killed after a 47-year-old college professor allegedly shot into a parked car.
The Carrollton Police Department reported that on Saturday, July 30, at 12:27 a.m., officers were called to Tanner Medical Center because a female was suffering from a gunshot wound. Anna Jones, 18, died from her injuries, according to police.
According to detectives, Richard Sigman was in Adamson Square when he got into a verbal altercation with another man. Sigman allegedly threatened the man with a gun. After noticing Sigman had a gun, the guard told him to leave. Sigman allegedly shot at a parked car in which Jones was sitting as he walked towards the parking deck.
It is reported that Jones' friends drove her to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Sigman is charged with murder, three counts of aggravated assault, and three counts of possession of a firearm during commission or attempt to commit certain felonies, according to Carroll County Jail records.
The University of West Georgia has fired Sigman and said it is cooperating with law enforcement during the investigation, according to WSB-TV.
Jones graduated from Mount Zion High School in Carrollton in 2022, according to reports.
