Phoenix man accused of killing 80-year-old roommate, pawning chain saw | Daily Brief

A 58-year-old man was accused of killing and dismembering his 80-year-old roommate in October.
KPNX-TV reported that on Nov. 1, Phoenix police were requested to check on the victim after his family hadn't heard from him in weeks. Officers smelt a "strong foul odor" near 30th and Campbell avenues and found the victim's decomposing body in trash bags.
Kenneth Peterson was identified.
