After more than 25 years, Paul Flores has been sentenced to 25 years to life in jail for the murder of Kristin Smart, a California college student who disappeared in 1996. Judge Jennifer O'Keefe of the Monterey County Superior Court described Flores as "a cancer to society" and ordered him to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
