Improving maternal and child health in South Sudan. UNICEF&British Embassy

South Sudan’s infant and maternal mortality rates have remained at worrying levels with 1 out of every 10 children born, dying before their fifth birthday. 
In addition, South Sudan has the highest rate of women dying due to pregnancy related complications with more than 1,000 women out of 100,000 live births dying due to pregnancy related causes.
