When we talk to our dogs, we use a specific playful, simplified tone that reflects the relationship that we have with our dogs. The etiquette of talking to our dogs unveils deeper truths about the ways in which etiquette is intertwined in all facets of life.
Have you ever seen someone wearing a hoodie at the beach, or how about those who choose to miserably wear closed tennis shoes? These images stand out as ineffective practices that also break etiquette (in this case, of going to the beach).
Surely, we all have the creative freedom to do that which we please; however, the etiquettes are rooted in effectiveness. Talking plainly to our dogs or wearing hoodies to the beach are less effective than the playful linguistics or some flip flop of sort, and so on.
Tune in to episode 71 of Chats with Clark for a dive into the etiquettes in our lives, how they coincide with first impressions, and ways in which we can add our personal flair into each situation, while adhering to etiquettes, to perform at our best.
