Scott Peterson's Lawyer Said He'd Bet His LIFE on It

Scott Peterson was convicted of murdering his pregnant wife Laci and their unborn son Conner. He had an affair. He lied to investigators. The bodies washed ashore near where he said he went fishing. And his sister-in-law Janey Peterson has spent more than twenty years saying: the wrong person is in prison.
Janey didn’t just feel it. She built the argument. She pointed to a burglary across the street, ignored leads, and investigative failures. In 2024, the LA Innocence Project took the case. A judge authorized DNA testing. Scott’s defense attorney went on the record: “I would bet my life on it.”
This episode explores what separates organized family advocacy from blind denial — and whether twenty years of persistence is proof of love, delusion, or something the legal system is just now catching up to.
