Did Lindsay Clancy Know Exactly What She Was Doing?

Here's the question that's been sitting underneath the Lindsay Clancy trial all week: did she know exactly what she was doing? Both sides agree she killed her three children. Plymouth Superior Court just spent three days trying to answer whether she understood it while it happened — Patrick Clancy on the stand for two of those days, his 911 call played for jurors who could barely sit through it, first responders describing the scene they walked into. 
Then prosecutors laid nine prescription bottles on the table. Most of them were still mostly full. If the defense rests on a woman drowning in medication her doctors kept switching, that's a hard detail to explain away. So is the twenty-five-minute errand prosecutors keep coming back to, and the takeout order they say she placed like nothing was wrong. 
Tony Brueski puts that against a case people keep comparing it to: Nick Reiner, who told reporters he cycled through roughly seventeen rehab stays his family arranged and paid for, including a yearlong conservatorship, and is now charged with killing Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner. Lindsay Clancy, a labor and delivery nurse, sought help once in December of 2022 and was discharged in a day.
