Patrick Clancy's wrongful death lawsuit, filed in January 2026, doesn't just grieve his children. It builds a medical case against the providers who treated Lindsay in the weeks before Cora, Dawson, and Callan died. Tony Brueski opens the filing and lays out exactly what it alleges.
According to the complaint, providers misprescribed a stack of powerful psychiatric medications and kept adding new ones without a coordinated plan behind the decisions. The civil filings count nine medications in Lindsay's final months, eight of them inside the last three weeks, while her own criminal defense counts thirteen. Her final psychiatric appointment fell on January 23, 2023, the day before her children died, and a simple lab test that would have shown whether her body was processing those medications was never ordered. The complaint states that with adequate care, it's more likely than not the children would still be alive, directly at odds with what prosecutors are arguing in Plymouth Superior Court, where Lindsay is accused of planning the killings.
The episode also folds in eight days of criminal trial testimony, where prosecution witnesses, including friends, the family's nanny, and even Patrick's own relatives, keep describing Lindsay as a devoted mother. Tony covers the takeout order and errand splitting the audience, the pill bottles prosecutors emptied out to argue she skipped her medication, the psychiatric hospital that discharged her nineteen days before her children died, and whether a not-criminally-responsible verdict could ever mean Lindsay walks free.
Two counties, two juries, and a lawsuit that reads like the missing half of the story.
