Why Lindsay Clancy's Trial Changed This Week

The prosecution's psychiatrist contradicted her own medical records. The defendant sobbed and told the courtroom she couldn't continue during autopsy testimony. Some jurors cried. And a conspiracy theory accusing Patrick Clancy of framing his wife persists despite having no foundation in the trial evidence.
All of it happened this week inside Plymouth Superior Court during the Lindsay Clancy murder trial. Clancy has pleaded not guilty to three counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of her children Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months. She admits to killing them. The defense argues postpartum psychosis and overmedication. The prosecution says she acted intentionally.
Criminal defense trial attorney Bob Motta of Defense Diaries was in the courtroom. He covers the Commonwealth's witness problem and the emotional toll of the autopsy testimony on everyone in that room. He also examines why Patrick Clancy — a man treated as a grieving father inside the courtroom — is being tried on TikTok.
