Did Patrick Clancy Ignore The One Warning That Mattered

If Lindsay Clancy killed someone because of mental illness, she'd be under the jail like anyone else. That's one comment. She should be in a hospital, not a prison. That's the reply. Both are closer to right than most of the thread, and this is what each verdict actually does.

Guilty of first-degree murder in Massachusetts carries mandatory life without parole. Not criminally responsible means commitment to a state psychiatric facility with periodic court reviews on whether she could ever be released. Lindsay has been held at Tewksbury State Hospital since May 2023, so the hospital outcome is already her daily life.
