"I realize that I keep getting more confident in my craft, so that's how I know I'm always going to keep learning," notes the ever-curious Mike Miller, who joins Chats with Clark episode 84. As a renowned artist and tattooist, Mike has learned how to stay calm and prevent nerves when delivering products that are not only permanent, but a one-time opportunity.
Owner and cofounder of Green Light Tattoo and Art Gallery, Mike explains why he loves being a tattooist and artist, as he brings beauty into the world. His brother Marcus and he have always competed in life. This competition has emerged into a robust partnership and relationship, allowing them to share the joy of the art world together at Green Light.
Mike, deeply philosophical, looks deeply at the world and really analyzes what it means to be alive. As such, Mike recognizes that he is continually on a journey, developing into the best versions of himself more and more. With that growth into our authentic selves, Mike believes that we thrive.
With his artwork collected and displayed by athletes, stars, apartment buildings, and museums (MGK, Terry Rozier, Marcus Smart, and the Museum of Contemporary Art Cleveland to name a few) around the world, Mike strives to eventually take his work globally.
Episode 84 is about commitment: it's commitment to one's self and the ongoing best versions of one's self. It's the conviction in Mike to tattoo his face to show his dedication to the craft, never having another boss other than himself, and for literally being a billboard of the life that he chooses, creates, and embraces.
Mike Miller is a pleasure of a human, and episode 84 highlights the golden mentalities that explain why.
